Parents often ask, "How can I restrict what my student can install on the iPad and more effectively monitor my child’s use of it?"
An important point to share with your child is that each iPad belongs to the district, not the student. As the parent, you can expect to be able to see whatever is on it. You also should feel empowered to take it from your child as needed as part of teaching him or her about responsible use.
These are some other notes about parental supervision to consider:
Use your student’s iPad. Practice. Play. Explore.
Know your student’s passcode and logins.
Ask your student to show you how they are using the iPad for learning.
Charge the iPad nightly in the parents’ bedroom.
